Mahindra B07 electric SUV spotted testing for the first time. The upcoming EV will be based on the BE.07 concept and INGLO platform. Launch expected in 2027 with a claimed range of over 500km.
Mahindra’s upcoming born-electric SUV, codenamed B07, has been spotted testing on public roads for the first time. The heavily camouflaged prototype suggests the SUV is currently in the development phase and is expected to launch in 2027.
The new model is believed to be the production version of the BE.07 concept, which Mahindra showcased in August 2022 as part of its Born Electric strategy.

Mahindra had originally unveiled five Born Electric concepts - XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09. Since then, three of these have already made their way into production.
The BE.05 concept became the BE6, while XUV.e9 launched as the XEV 9e and XUV.e8 entered production as the XEV 9S. These electric SUVs have helped Mahindra build a strong presence in the premium EV space.
Together, the BE6 and XEV 9e have already crossed 41,000 units in sales within the first 10 months, showing strong demand for the brand’s new electric models. The upcoming B07 will become the fourth vehicle in this Born Electric portfolio.
Even though the test vehicle is covered in camouflage, the overall shape suggests a more conventional SUV design compared to the sporty BE6.
The styling appears similar to the original BE.07 concept, which featured a more upright stance and smoother body surfaces. Previous design patents also hinted at distinctive C-shaped LED lighting signatures at both the front and rear.
Some of the aggressive styling elements from the concept may be toned down for the final production version.
The BE.07 concept measured around 4,565 mm in length with a 2,775 mm wheelbase, and the production model could have similar proportions.
Interior details of the test mule are not visible yet, but the concept previewed a very futuristic cabin layout.
It featured a wide triple-screen setup across the dashboard, very few physical buttons, and a panoramic sunroof. Based on Mahindra’s latest EVs, the B07 is also expected to offer large digital displays, advanced connectivity, ADAS features, and over-the-air software updates.

The B07 will likely be based on Mahindra’s INGLO electric platform, which also underpins its recently launched electric SUVs.
Battery options could include 59 kWh and 79 kWh packs, similar to those offered in the BE6 and XEV models. With these battery packs, the SUV could deliver a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge.
Power output could be around 230 PS with approximately 400 Nm of torque, offering strong performance and quick acceleration.
Mahindra has confirmed that the B07 electric SUV will arrive in 2027, although the final production name may be different.
Once launched, the B07 will become an important addition to Mahindra’s Born Electric lineup and could help the company further strengthen its position in India’s fast-growing electric SUV market.
