Mahindra & Mahindra has provided a sneak peek of the upcoming XUV300 Facelift ahead of its debut on April 29. Dubbed as the Mahindra XUV 3XO, this refreshed sub-4-meter SUV sets a naming trend for the entire XUV lineup, which includes the currently available XUV700 and the upcoming XUV500.
The upcoming XUV 3XO was officially teased in a vibrant Yellow colour with several notable updates. These include a redesigned front fascia featuring split headlamps, LED projector headlights, L-shaped LED DRLs, a diamond-pattern grille, circular fog lights, and new dual-tone alloy wheels. Additionally, the rear profile will provide new C-shaped LED tail lights connected via a light bar, wiper with washer, and ‘XUV 3XO’ badging.
With just the exterior glimpse for now, on the inside we can expect the introduction of a new freestanding touchscreen infotainment system. This is likely to measure 10.25 inches. Other upgrades would include a fully digital instrument cluster, a revised center console, updated upholstery, and fresh air conditioning vents.
Under the hood, the upcoming XUV 3XO is likely to retain the same powertrain options as before. These will include a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission duties here would be handled by a 6-speed manual and an AMT gearbox.
The homegrown automaker will reveal the prices for its newest member during its launch. Once it hits the market, the New Mahindra XUV 3XO will compete against rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite, and the Renault Kiger.
