MG Motor India is gearing up to launch its third new electric car - the Cloud EV in India. The upcoming MG EV has been spied testing in the country and several spy images have already given us ideas about its exterior and interior features. Recently, the brand has teased the Cloud EV for the first time, dubbed as a CUV. Continue reading to get more insights.
As shown in the teaser video, the Cloud EV features a backlit MG logo in the centre which is likely to be active when the car is on charge. Besides, there is an LED light bar and sleek LED DRLs on the front fascia. Similar to the global-spec model, a new set of aerodynamically-designed wheels will also be on offer.
In addition, the Cloud EV will get a range of features inside. There will be ambient lighting, a 2-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with integrated controls for the music function, a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats, and more.
The India-spec Cloud EV battery details have not been revealed. As for the international-spec model, it is offered with 50.6kWh and 37.9kWh battery packs. Both are paired with front axle-mounted electric motors, offering a range of 460 km and 360 km, respectively.
MG Cloud EV is likely to be priced from Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete against the Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Nexon EV. Plus, it will be an affordable alternative to the MG ZS EV.
