MG India is soon to bring its third electric offering to the market. Based on the global-spec Cloud EV, the upcoming MG Windsor EV will be launched on September 11. Ahead of its official launch, the brand has teased the electric model, giving a glimpse at its exterior design and interior features.
Have a look at the features:
The upcoming MG electric car will have a LED headlight setup, connected LED DRLs, Morris Garages lettering on the front bumper, MG logo right below the LED DRL strip, aerodynamically designed 18-inch alloy wheels, connected LED light bar at the rear, and Windsor lettering under the taillights.
Moving on the inside, the CUV will get the segment-largest 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment and a full-width panoramic glass roof. Not only this, the Windsor EV will get India's first Aero-lounge seats with a 135-degree recline function.
Other feature highlights are a digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, cruise control, blind spot monitoring, wireless phone charger, all-black leatherette seats with headrests for the second row, six airbags, blind spot monitoring, and a 360-degree camera.
MG Windsor EV is expected to share the same battery and electric motor with the Cloud EV. It might get both 37.9kWh and 50.6kWh, mated to a front-axle-mounted electric motor. The smaller battery can deliver a range of 360 km while the larger battery pack can offer a range of 460 km.
For the next electric offering, MG is likely to price it between Rs 15-20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be an affordable alternative to the ZS EV and will rival the Mahindra XUV400 and Nexon EV.
