Hyundai is readying the new generation Venue sub-4 meter SUV that has been caught testing multiple times on the Indian roads. In fact, the new Hyundai Venue is currently doing final phases of testing ahead of its debut later this year. While official launch details are yet to be released, we believe that the new-gen Venue will make its India debut by October 2025.
Internally codenamed QU2i, the new gen Hyundai Venue is likely to retain its existing engine options. Engine options include a 118bhp, 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol, an 82bhp, 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol and a 99bhp, 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT, and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
Hyundai India is also developing a new 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine, which will be future hybrid ready. The new turbo petrol engine will sit between the 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo petrol. It could also be offered on the new-gen Venue compact SUV. This engine is reportedly to be offered on the Bayon crossover, which is scheduled to be launched in 2026.
The spy images reveal that the new-gen Hyundai Venue will continue to offer boxy design, but it has more cleaner lines and less creases. The front fascia has less angular design with signature rectangular-patterned grille and new split LED headlamp setup.
The side profile has new pronounced wheel arches with thicker cladding, new ORVMs, roof rails and new 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. It will have a completely new rear profile, featuring new tailgate design, connected LED tail-lights and longer roof spoiler, and new lower bumper with multiple parking sensors.
The new-gen Hyundai Venue will come with several high-end features, which is available in the Kia Syros. It is likely to get a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, sliding and reclining second-row seats, LEVEL 2 ADAS, six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree surround view camera and others. The SUV could also receive a bigger connected screen incorporating a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display.
