We have witnessed several new car launches in recent times by auto manufacturers in the country. These models include all-new cars, facelifts and special editions, and all were introduced to improve sales during festive season, that's Diwali. However, few exciting new cars will arrive post Diwali and here is the list of top 5.
Maruti Suzuki will introduce the next-gen Dzire sedan in our market on November 4, 2024. The new model has been caught testing numerous times, revealing key details like design, interior and key features. The sedan will be based on the same platform that underpins the new Swift; however, the styling will be significantly different. The sedan will receive new dual-tone interior scheme with a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, new seat upholstery and a single-pane sunroof. The sedan could also receive a 360-degree surround view camera; however, nothing has been confirmed on the same. It will feature the new 80.5bhp, 1.2L 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine with manual and AMT gearbox options.
Hyundai will introduce the long-awaited Creta EV in January 2025. Production of the car is likely to commence in December 2024 with debut expected at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show. It will share most of the features with the standard model; however, the SUV could get EV-specific changes in terms of design and features. The electric SUV is likely to be packed with a battery pack of around 45kWh to 60kWh with front-axle-mounted electric motor shared with the global-spec Kona EV. It is likely to offer a range of up to 500km on a single charge.
Mahindra is planning to introduce its smallest and most affordable electric SUV based on the XUV 3XO in the Indian market. The electric SUV will directly rival the Tata Nexon EV and has been caught testing numerous times on the Indian roads. The SUV will look similar to the regular model, except for some EV-specific design changes in the form of new charging port placed on the front passenger-side front fender. The cabin is likely to share styling with the XUV400, as it will have a dual-tone theme, and new free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit. Japanese brand will introduce the next-gen Amaze sedan in the country in January 2025. Likely to debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show, the new sedan will rival the new Maruti Dzire, Tata Tigor and Hyundai Aura. The big news is that the new model will be based on the City platform, which will be modified to accommodate a smaller wheelbase and sub-4 meter car. Skoda's first sub-4 meter SUV, the Kylaq will make global debut on November 6. However, the launch is scheduled in the first quarter of 2025. It will be based on the modified MQB AO IN platform that underpins the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia. The SUV will come equipped with a single-pane sunroof, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, an 8-inch digital driver's display, electrically adjustable driver and co-driver seats with ventilation function and others. The SUV will be powered by the same 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine that powers the Slavia. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
