Toyota has been developing a new 7-seater SUV which is expected to be a 3-row version of the Hyryder. The upcoming 7-seater is likely to arrive in the Indian market by 2025-2026. Upon launch, it will be positioned between the Hyryder and Innova.

The upcoming 3-row SUV will have a similar design as the current Hyryder. However, size-wise, it will be slightly longer and will offer an additional row of seats. It is likely to receive a flatter roof to provide more headroom for the third-row occupants. Moreover, Toyota's upcoming SUV will have more premium features than the Hyryder.
The upcoming 7-seater Toyota SUV will be based on the Global-C platform. This platform also underpins the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara (5-seater). However, for Toyota's 7-seater, the platform will be modified. This platform will also underpin the 7-seater Grand Vitara.
Under the hood, it is expected to get the same set of engines as Hyryder. These include 1.5-litre 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol with a strong hybrid, 1.5-litre K15 naturally-aspirated petrol with mild-hybrid and 2.0-litre strong hybrid petrol unit, offered in Innova Hycross. Transmission choices can include both manual and torque converter automatic.
The new 7-seater SUV will compete with the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar.
