A few months ago, Citroen revealed the exterior of the next-gen C3 Aircross for Europe. Now, the interior of the Euro-spec C3 Aircross has also been unveiled. It has received a range of premium features and powertrain choices, which are missing out on the India-spec C3 Aircross.
The cabin of the Euro-spec C3 Aircross is quite different and looks more premium than the India-spec C3 Aircross.
It features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a fully digital instrument panel in the background, and a wireless charging option. However, the seating configuration is the same as the Indian model which comes with a 5-seater and 7-seater seat layout.
The Euro-spec C3 Aircross gets multiple powertrain choices. One of these is a 1.2-litre PureTech turbo mated with 6-speed MT and the other one is a 1.2-litre turbo petrol with a 48-volt mild hybrid system and dual-clutch transmission.
There is also an electrified version. With a 44 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the electric motor can generate a maximum power of 111 bhp. It can offer a maximum range of 300 km. Using the 7 kW charger, the SUV’s battery can be charged from 20-80 percent in about 4 hours while using the 11 kW charger, the charging time can be reduced to 2 hours.
Compared to this, the India-spec C3 Aircross offers only a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo engine, paired with a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.
In the European market, prices for the new C3 Aircross start from 20,000 euros (Rs 17.92 lakh) for the gasoline model and 30,000 euros (Rs 26.89 lakh) for the electric model. Whereas in India, it is priced between Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.33 lakh (ex-showroom).
