Tata Motors is preparing to launch a new variant of the Nexon called the Pure+ PS, and it could soon become one of the most value-packed options in the compact SUV segment.

The biggest highlight of this upcoming variant is the addition of a panoramic sunroof, a feature that was earlier limited to much higher variants in the Nexon lineup.

With this move, Tata is expected to make panoramic sunroofs more accessible to buyers looking for premium features at a lower price point.

Panoramic Sunroof and Cruise Control Added

Leaked interior images of the Nexon Pure+ PS have revealed two major upgrades. Along with the panoramic sunroof, the SUV will also get cruise control.

This is significant because cruise control was earlier available only in the Creative trim and above. Tata is now bringing the feature to a more affordable variant.

The “PS” in the variant name is expected to stand for Panoramic Sunroof, similar to Tata’s naming strategy in other Nexon trims.

Currently, the panoramic sunroof is offered from the Creative+ PS variant onwards, which sits much higher in the lineup.

Features Expected on the New Variant

Apart from the new additions, the Nexon Pure+ PS is expected to continue with several features already offered in the Pure+ trim.

These include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, auto-folding ORVMs, height-adjustable driver’s seat, front armrest, and rear-view camera.

The SUV is also likely to offer auto headlights and rain-sensing wipers, similar to the existing Pure+ S trim.

Multiple Engine Options Likely

The Nexon Pure+ PS is expected to come with multiple powertrain options, just like other Nexon variants.

These could include the turbo petrol manual, petrol AMT, diesel manual, and CNG manual versions. Tata may also introduce a diesel AMT option later.

The Nexon continues to stand out in the market as one of the few SUVs available with petrol, diesel, CNG, and electric powertrain choices.

Tata Nexon Continues Strong Run in SUV Segment

The Tata Nexon remains one of the strongest players in the sub-4 metre SUV segment. It competes with popular models like the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3XO.

By introducing premium features in lower variants, Tata appears to be aiming at younger buyers who want a feature-rich SUV without moving to top-end trims.
