Audi India has announced a 2% hike in prices for its models in India. The new prices will come into effect from 1 January 2024. The automaker has stated that the price increase is being implemented because of rising input and operational costs and will affect the entire lineup.
During the announcement, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, stated, “Achieving profitability through a sustainable business model remains a critical part of Audi India’s strategy, and we are committed to providing the best to our customers. Due to rising supply-chain-related input and operational costs, we have effected a price correction across our model range, maintaining the brand’s premium price positioning.” He also added, “The price correction aims to ensure sustainable growth for Audi India and our dealer partners, and we will ensure that the price hike's impact is as minimal as possible for customers.”
Audi recently announced a sales growth of 88% of India, with 5,530 units sold in the first 9 months of 2023. Currently, the automaker has the widest EV lineup in India among premium brands.
The German automaker has also announced a new initiative for its EV owners, ‘Charge my Audi’ on the ‘myAudiConnect’ app. It provides a one-stop solution for Audi e-tron customers that provides access to over 1000+ charging stations across multiple charging partners and locations.
Audi is planning to introduce the new A3 sedan in India by the end of 2023. Following that, the automaker is slated to launch the updated Q8 SUV around the first quarter of 2024.
