Hyundai Alcazar Overview
This newly launched version of the Hyundai Alcazar facelift boasts a lot in the name of design and features. The fresh look of the facelifted one is indeed loaded with many technologies while offering two strong engine options: turbo-petrol and diesel. The new Hyundai Alcazar is available in four trim levels - Platinum, Signature, Prestige and Executive - and in total of 14 variants. The Alcazar price in India starts at Rs 14.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 21.40 lakh. All the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
Most Value for Money Variant
The Prestige has a good balance of features and price, which incidentally adds more value for money as the dual-zone AC comes along with wireless charging, and this does not jump over the premium pricing bracket.

The new Alcazar comes equipped with features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument console, panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree surround view camera and dual-zone climate control. The SUV gets ventilated seats in both front and second-row. The SUV also gets Level 2 ADAS suite with features like adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blind spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking and others. The SUV has digital key with NFC, which allows the user to lock and unlock a car using a smartphone and smartwatch.

The Alcazar petrol manual offers an ARAI certified mileage of 17.5kmpl. The mileage increases to 18kmpl with the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The diesel version is claimed to return 20.4kmpl and 18.1kmpl with manual and automatic gearbox options, respectively.

The new-gen Alcazar is available with two engine options - a 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel. The turbo petrol engine churns out 157.81bhp and a peak torque of 253Nm. On the other side, the oil burner is good for 114.41bhp and 250Nm of torque. Manual and Automatic choices include 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT with turbo petrol and 6-speed automatic with diesel.
Boot Space and Dimension
In terms of proportions, the Hyundai Alcazar is 4560mm long, 1800mm wide and 1710mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2760mm. With all three seats in position, the SUV has a boot space of 180-litres. The luggage compartment can be further increased by folding the third-row seats.

The new Alcazar competes in the highly competitive three-row SUV market that consists of MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700. It can also be compared with MPVs such as the Kia Carens and Toyota Innova Crysta.
