The Hyundai i20 N-Line comes with a sportier, performance-oriented version of the standard i20, catering to enthusiasts who wish for an engaging driving experience. Hyundai updated the i20 N-Line in October 2023 with refreshed pricing, new features, and color options.
The i20 N-Line price in India starts at Rs 10.00 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.37 lakh. All the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. This is a sporty hatch that balances its performance with features, which will make this a lot of value for money against other contenders.
Most Value For Money Variant
The most value-for-money is the N8 DCT variant of the sporty hatchback. This top variant does an all-rounded pack that offers a touch screen of 10.25 inches, a Bose premium sound system, a paddle shifter, and a sunroof too. Furthermore, the adding fact here is the provision of advanced safety equipment such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), 6 airbags, and Hill Start Assist. So it's a great performer for those people who are interested in performance and impressive features along with safety.
Aggressive and sporty, the i20 N-Line boasts a chequered flag-inspired grille, twin-tip exhaust, red accents, and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Inside it boasts a premium all-black cabin with N Line badging, red-stitched leather seats and ambient lighting for extra comfort. It also has an infotainment system with 10.25-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluelink tech, Bose 7-speaker system with wireless charging and automatic climate control, and Eco, Normal and Sport driving modes for whatever driving mood you happen to be in.
The i20 N Line has a commanding ARAI-certified mileage of 20 kmpl. It is competitive given that it comes with a turbo-petrol powertrain and performance-oriented direction. The iMT version would carry comparable efficiency to the iMT offered as well, making this vehicle quite practical for daily commutes and long drives.
The i20 N-Line is equipped with a wide array of safety features, including 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), and rear parking sensors with dynamic camera guidelines. It will ensure safety for both city commutes and highway journeys.
There are seven colors available for the Hyundai i20 N Line, five of which are monotone: Thunder Blue, Titan Grey, Atlas White, Starry Night, Abyss Black, and two dual-tone options: Thunder Blue with Abyss Black roof and Atlas White with Abyss Black roof. All these colors enhance the sporty and dynamic appeal of the car.
It comes powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 120 PS of power and 172 Nm of torque. The i20 N-Line is available in two kinds of transmission: a 6-speed iMT for the spirit of manual gear shifts without using the clutch or a 7-speed DCT for smooth and automatic performance.
Thus, the Hyundai i20 N-Line comes with 311 liters of capacity for an adequately spacious boot. The car is 3,995 mm long, 1,775 mm wide, 1,505 mm high, and 2,580 mm is its wheelbase; therefore, this is more than enough space to seat passengers along with luggage without even compromising on its sporty look.
Hyundai i20 N Line is straight competition to Tata Altroz Racer in the performance hatchback segment, but premium hatchbacks like Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Glanza are there against its competition, though they do not have that sporty factor. Subcompact SUVs like Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and Maruti Suzuki Fronx tend to be in that price band and have more practicality but less driving excitement.
