Like Panoramic Sunroof, a Heads-Up Display was associated with high-end automobiles. However, this feature is now added to more mass segment models. The Heads-Up Display or HUD is basically an active safety feature, as the driver can fetch most of the primary details without looking down at a conventional driver's display. A comprehensive display can offer multiple information like navigation, engine revs and warning lights.
There are two types of HUD systems including projection-based and reflection-based. The projection based HUD uses LED lights or lasers to share details like turn-by-turn navigation, speed, efficiency, revs. The reflection-based HUD system has a digital display to show information. This system is significantly cheaper than the projection-based HUD.
