The Wagon R needs no introduction and is available in 11 variants and two engines, 1-litre and 1.2-litre petrol. Both mills can be paired to a manual or automatic transmission but the smaller engine does not get the ZXi line of trims, unlike its elder sibling. Since CNG is exclusively available with the smaller engine, you can get it with LXi and VXi variants only.
Prices of the trims coming with the 1-litre motor are from Rs. 5.54 lakh to Rs. 6.89 lakh. For the bigger 1.2-litre engine, you will have to pay Rs. 7.38 lakh (ZXi+ AT dual tone). The top-selling VXi CNG comes at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 6.89 lakh.

If fuel efficiency concerns you, go with CNG. The only catch is that you can only buy the CNG car with a manual transmission, prices of which start at Rs. 5.74 lakh. Its VXi S CNG model is available for Rs. 5.96 lakh, an increment of only Rs. 22,000. We recommend that you go with this variant as the premium is justified.
