In our books, the base S trim of the Mahindra Scorpio Classic which starts at Rs. 13.62 lakh ex-showroom ranks third because of a number of reasons. It gets vinyl seat upholstery, a hydraulic-assisted bonnet, intellipark and micro-hybrid technology. You also get a mobile pocket in the centre console and a manually adjustable external rear-view mirror.
Other additional features include a centre high-mount stop lamp, black fender bezel, bonnet scoop, black front grille inserts, steel wheel and unpainted side cladding. The wheel size remains to be 17-inches.
At the top of the Mahindra Scorpio Classic trims is the S11 which comes at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 17.42 lakh. In Delhi, you can expect an on-road price of Rs. over 21 lakh. While it gets projector light-emitting diode (LED) headlights and DRLs, other features include automatic climate control, cup holders at the front, a multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, a centre console armrest, and a gear shift indicator.
Talking about the additional features on board, they include micro-hybrid technology, extended power window and hydraulic assisted bonnet. One-touch power window operation has been reserved for the driver’s power window. There is keyless entry, head adjustable driver’s seat and follow me home headlamps as well.
You also get a roof-mounted sunglass holder, a mobile pocket in the centre console and AC vents finished in chrome beside the fabric upholstery. Furthermore, there are power adjustable external rear view mirrors, rear window wiper, rear window washer, defogger at the back, alloy wheels in machine finish, rear spoiler, side stepper integrated antenna, chrome grille, painted side cladding, ski rack, silver skid plate, silver finish fender bezel and static bending technology in the headlamps.
Entertainment is taken care of by a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system which has Bluetooth, radio, speakers at the front and back, USB and AUX connectivity and phone mirroring.
For safety, there is an anti-theft alarm, anti-theft device, anti-pinch power windows, speed sensing auto door lock.
