Offered in a sole performance-oriented M-specific variant, the BMW i5 comes kitted with M Aerodynamics package, LED headlights and LED rear lights, M Sport alloy wheels, BMW Live Cockpit Plus with BMW Curved Display, Harmon Kardon sound system, five driving modes (PERSONAL, SPORT, EFFICIENT, EXPRESSIVE, RELAX), sport seats for driver and front passenger, memory function for driver’s seat, 4-zone climate control, ambient lighting, wireless charger, and adaptive air suspension for utmost comfort. 

Safety Features

The BMW i5’s safety net comprises six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, dynamic stability control, traction control, reversing camera, park assist and radar-based driver assistance systems like rear collision warning, collision prevention and more.

The i5 is available in as many as fourteen body shades, comprising Phytonic Blue, Black Sapphire, Brooklyn Grey, Sophisto Grey, Carbon Black, Mineral White, Cape York Green, Oxide Grey, Dragon Fire Red, Alpine White, Frozen Pure Grey, Frozen Deep Grey, BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue, and Frozen Portimao Blue. 

Battery and Motor Specifications

The BMW i5 M60 xDrive variant comes with an 81.2 kWh battery pack (net capacity), powering an all-wheel-drive dual motor setup, which produces 601PS and a whopping 795Nm. The company claims it can go from 0-100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds. 

BMW i5 Range

The i5 offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 516 kilometres on a single charge. 

Charging Time

The i5 can be topped up from 10-80% in just 30 min via a 205kW DC charger. An 11kW wallbox charger will take approximately 8.25 hrs for the same.

Dimensions and Boot

The BMW i5 is 5060mm long, 1900mm wide and 1515mm tall. Its wheelbase stands at 2885mm, while the boot space is rated at 490 litres.
