The new X5 is a pure tech-savvy machine, comprising cutting-edge features like digital key support, remote key start, soft-closing function for doors, BMW Laser Light with adaptive LED headlights, a heads-up display, augmented reality navigation,  multifunctional seats with massage function, gesture control and wireless Apple Carplay connectivity for the infotainment, 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system, wireless smartphone charging, a four-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive suspensions, and more. 

Safety Features

Safety features on the X5 include seven airbags, traction control, Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), parking assist with a 360-degree surround view system and driver attentiveness alert.

The exterior hues on the X5 include - Alpine White, Skyscraper Grey, Black Sapphire, Mineral White, M Carbon Black, M Brooklyn Grey, BMW Individual Dravit Grey and BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue.

Engine and Transmission

BMW offers the X5 with both petrol and diesel engines. The xDrive40i trims come with a 3.0-litre inline-six twin-turbo engine producing a whopping power output of 381PS and 520Nm of max torque, whereas the xDrive30d trims feature a 3.0-litre inline-six oil burner generating 286PS and 650Nm. The power is sent to the rear-biased all-wheel-drive system via an 8-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox.

The diesel-powered X5 has a fuel economy of 11.98 km/l, while its petrol counterpart returns 12.04 km/l.

Dimensions and Boot

The X5 measures 4500mm in length, 1845mm in width, and 1642mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2692mm and a boot space of 540 litres.
