Citroen eC3 is an electric compact hatchback offering that has been developed in India for the developing markets. First showcased at the end of 2022, the new car saw the day of light in 2023 when it was launched in India.
The C3 EV is the first electric offering from the brand and uses the same Common Modular Platform as its sibling the C3.
In terms of exterior design, the Citroen eC3 is visually identical to its ICE counterpart and maintains a butch look. The SUV-like design and the tall stance is unchanged along with various customisation options.
Moving to the sides, on the eC3 we get to see the same 15-inch steel wheels, faux side exhaust cut out and chunky body cladding. A new addition to the vehicle is the charging port which is placed on the front fender at the driver’s side.
Towards the rear, the Citroen C3 electric is a good looking car that is different from everything else in its segment.
Interior: The story on the interior of the Citroen eC3 is the same as the exterior. The overall cabin layout and the dashboard design is identical to the C3 with the vertical dashboard design and the customisation option. A new element on the inside is the slick toggle for the gear selector along with a new drive mode selector.
Overall, the cabin of the EV feels dated compared to what we have seen from other EVs currently on the market.
Features: The cabin of the New Citroen eC3 includes a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, a manual air conditioner with heater, four speakers, a height-adjustable driver seat, and more.
Safety: In terms of safety, the Citroen C3 electric gets dual front airbags, reverse parking sensors, high-speed alert system, ABS with EBD, speed sensitive auto door lock, and more as basic equipment.
Citroen eC3 price in India starts from Rs 12.76 lakh and extends to Rs 13.56 lakh (ex-showroom). The model is available in 7 variants - Live and Feel trims with an automatic transmission.
