Mahindra XUV 300 Overview
Mahindra XUV 300 is a city focused subcompact SUV and the smallest vehicle sold by Mahindra cars in India. First showcased at the end of 2018, the new XUV 300 is based on the X100 platform that also underpins the SsangYong Tivoli.
For the Indian market, the company has widened and shortened the vehicle to fit into the sub-4-metre segment. The XUV 300 was last updated at the start of October 2022 when the car received the new Twin-Peaks logo along a simplified variant line-up.
Mahindra XUV 300: Exterior
The Mahindra XUV 300’s exterior design is aggressive with its chiselled lines. Up front, the new model gets a wide face that is characterised by a sleek horizontal grille, sweptback LED headlamps, inverted L-shaped LED DRL’s, muscular bumper, fog lamps, a large air damp and silver skid plate.
On to the sides, we get to see the raked stance of the SUV along with black body cladding, new 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and a bulging rear quarter panel that adds substance to this portion of the vehicle.
Towards the rear, there are distinct LED taillamps and massive skid plate that complete the overall look of the SUV.
Mahindra XUV 300: Interior and Features
Interior: On the inside, the Mahindra XUV 300 offers a premium and airy cabin thanks to the spacious layout. Finished in a dual-tone black and beige theme, the SUV provides a multi layered dashboard design alongside fabric / leatherite upholstery.
Features: The New Mahindra XUV 300 provides features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that offers both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other equipment on the list include dual-zone AC, a reverse camera, leather wrapped steering wheel & gear knob, electric sunroof, cruise control and a smart electric steering wheel with three modes.
Safety: In terms of safety, the 2023 XUV 300 is built on the globally popular X100 platform and has received 5-Star Safety Rating for Adult Protection in the GNCAP Crash test. The SUV gets up to 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, corner braking control, engine immobiliser, all-4 disk brakes, hill start assist, front parking sensors and more.
Mahindra XUV 300: Price and Variants
Mahindra XUV 300’s price in India starts from Rs 7.99 lakh and extends to Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The XUV 300 is offered in 0 variants namely W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O) with the choice of automatic and manual transmission options in both petrol and diesel fuel types.
Mahindra XUV 300: Engine and Specification
The New Mahindra XUV 300 is powered by two engine options that include a 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre turbo petrol units. The former power plant delivers a maximum power output of 108 bhp and 200 Nm of torque while the latter produces a higher 115 bhp with 300 Nm torque. Both engines come mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT gearbox option.
The XUV 300 measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,821 mm in width and 1,627 mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. The car gets a small 42-litre fuel tank and 16-inch alloy wheels.
