June 6, 2025 - the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga was the second best-selling car in the month of May 2025 in India. The company sold a total of 16,140 units of the Ertiga last month as compared to 13,893 units in May 2024, registering an impressive YoY sales growth of 16%. 

April 18, 2025 - first launched on April 16, 2012, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been the country’s best-selling MPV. It has clocked its highest 12 month sales in last financial year, that’s FY2025. Maruti Suzuki has sold over 12.19 lakh vehicles in the past 13 years. 

March 3, 2025 - Maruti Suzuki has increased the prices of the Ertiga MPV by up to 15,000. The entry-level Lxi (O) variant is now expensive by Rs 15,000, while the other variants witness a uniform price hike of Rs 10,000. The three row MPV is now available in the price bracket of Rs 8.96 lakh to Rs 13.26 lakh, ex-showroom.

The Maruti Ertiga MPV is available in a broad 4 trim levels - LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus and in total of No_Of_Variants. The Ertiga price in India starts at Rs 896500 and goes up to Rs 1325500 (ex-showroom, Pan India).

The new Ertiga comes with more appealing interior than before, featuring an evolutionary dashboard design and dual-tone beige/bronze scheme with word inserts. In terms of features, the 3-row MPV gets a 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic AC with a dedicated blower fro the second row of seats, connected car, digital MID, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and others.

Other features include height adjustable driver seat, sliding armrest with utility box, adjustable headrest for all rows, engine push start/stop with smart key, remote keyless entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs, auto headlamps with follow me home/lead me to vehicle feature and others. 

Safety features of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

The new Ertiga is equipped with ABS with EBD and brake assist, dual front airbags, hill hold assist, ESP, ISOFIX child seat anchorage for second-row, seat belt reminder, high speed alert system and rear parking sensors as standard. The higher spec variants gets four airbags, rear parking camera and front fog lamps. 

Engine Specifications

The Suzuki Ertiga is powered by a 1.5-litre K15C engine. This unit is offered with both petrol and CNG fuel type. The naturally-aspirated petrol engine produces 102 bhp and 136 Nm of torque in the petrol guise, while the figures drop to 87 bhp and 121 Nm for the CNG version. For gearbox duties, the MPV gets 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic unit with paddle shifters.

Mileage of Ertiga MPV

The Maruti Ertiga manual version is claimed to return an ARAI certified fuel economy of 20.51kmpl with manual gearbox and 20.3kmpl with automatic unit. The CNG version returns a mileage of 26.11 km/kg. 

Dimensions

In terms of dimension’s, the vehicle measures 4,395 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,690 mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,740 mm. The car also gets a 45-litre fuel tank and up to 15-inch alloy wheels.

What is the boot space of Maruti Ertiga?

The 7-seater MPV is claimed to offer a boot space of 209-litres when all three rows are in position. It comes with 60:40 split second-row seats and 50:50 split third-row seats. Customers can further increase the boot space by folding the third-row seats.
