Kia India has launched the X-Line variant of the Carens MPV in the country. The X-Line is available with only automatic transmission for both petrol and diesel options. Prices for the MPV start from Rs 18.95 lakh to Rs 19.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
From the outside, the MPV highlights a Matte Graphite colour. It also gets a gloss black finish on the radiator grille, black rear skid plate, ORVMs, and roof rack. Besides, the Carens X-Line rides on 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with silver brake callipers.
Moving on inside, the new X-Line variant features Splendid Sage upholstery with Orange stitching. The steering wheel also gets a black colour with Orange stitching and a matching gear knob.
Offered with a six-seater configuration, the Carens X-Line provides a Rear Seat Entertainment unit behind the co-driver side. Additionally, the MPV has Screen Mirroring, Podcasts, and other entertainment apps. Users can control this system using a remote-control app on a phone.
The Carens X-Line retains its 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel units. The turbo-petrol can develop 157 bhp with 253 Nm while the diesel option can only produce 113 bhp with 250 Nm. Transmission duties are handled by 7-speed DCT and 6-speed automatic gearboxes.
