Kia Motors India is ready to open bookings for the Sonet Facelift from December 20th, 2023. Existing Kia customers can generate a K-code from Kia's official website or by using the MyKia app for quicker delivery of the car. Deliveries of the SUV will start from January 2024, except for the diesel manual transmission variants which according to the company will commence from February 2024.
What makes the facelifted Sonet stand out is its safety features in comparison to the outgoing version. The upgraded model now provides Level 1 ADAS Tech with 11 functions such as Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Driver Attention Warning, and more.
As for safety equipment onboard, there are 6 airbags as standard, Hill Start Assis, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) among many others. In terms of Connected Technology, there are 70 features that include things like Hinglish Commands, Find My Car with Surround View Monitor, Valet Mode, and more.

In comparison to the outgoing version, the facelift provides new LED headlamps, bumpers, alloy wheels and LED tail lights. On the inside, it will offer a coloured digital instrument cluster and, a 4-way adjustable driver’s seat alongside the regular equipment such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, LED ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and Bose 7-speaker sound system among others. In line with the Kia Seltos Facelift, the New Sonet will provide 3 distinct interior colour options and seat patterns on trims like the Tech Line, GT Line and the X Line.
With powertrain options remaining the same as before, there will be 3 units on offer. The lineup would include 2 petrol and one diesel. Talking about the Tech Line trim, this would feature the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol mill capable of producing a maximum power output of 81 bhp with 115 Nm of peak torque alongside a 1.5-litre turbo diesel unit delivering 113 bhp and 250 Nm torque. In the case of the GT Line and the X-Line, there will be a 1.0-litre turbo petrol in the offering churning out 120 bhp of power. As for transmission options, they would include a 5 / 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
With prices set to be announced sometime next year, we expect the Sonet Facelift to be slightly more expensive than the previous edition which ranges from Rs 7.79 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 14.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
