Mahindra is currently working on the Scorpio N pickup truck version. It is based on the Global Pik Up Concept which was revealed in August 2023. Recently, the test mules of the production-spec pickup truck was spotted in India, creating buzz among viewers whether it will be launched in our country as well. However, its India arrival is uncertain as this a global model which will be available in Australia and South Africa markets.
Here is what we know so far about Mahindra Scorpio N pickup truck ahead of its global launch:
The spy shots confirmed, the Scorpio N pickup truck looks different than the concept model showcased previously. The production model features a single cab layout with the extended bed and a big rear overhang. Rest of the front and side profiles look similar to Scorpio N due to the same LED DRLs, headlamp clusters and alloy wheels.
Based on the new-gen ladder-frame chassis, the Scorpio N pickup truck will be available with a Gen-II all-aluminium 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. This unit can produce the maximum power of 175 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic. It will have four rives models inlcuding Normal, Sand, Grass-Gravel-Snow, and Mud-Rut. In addition, Mahindra Scorpio N pickup will get four-wheel-drive setup and shift-on-the-fly functionalities.
