Most value for money variant
We recommend you to go for the AX5 variants of the XUV3XO. This variant gets all the necessary features that are available in competition. It gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, cruise control and wireless phone charger. The infotainment unit is compatible with wireless Android Auto and wired Apple CarPlay.
The AX5 variant gets a dual zone climate control, rear view camera, TPMS, and automatic headlamps. This variant also gets Adrenox connected car tech with built-in Alexa.
The new XUV 3XO comes equipped with several segment-leading features. It offers Level-2 ADAS, a panoramic electric sunroof, Harman audio system, dual-zone climate control, and connected car tech.
The ADAS tech offers adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blind spot monitoring, and autonomous emergency braking, and others.
The XUV 3XO has three engine options. The first option is a 1.2-litre turbocharged MPFi engine with 110 bhp and 200 Nm. The second option is a 1.5-litre diesel engine that churns out 115 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. Both manual and AMT gearbox options are on offer.
For those seeking a sportier turbo petrol mill, there’s a 1.2-litre mStallion turbocharged engine belting out 129 bhp and 230 Nm of torque. You can pair these with either a manual or an automatic transmission. It features an Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.
The new XUV 3XO comes with all 4 wheel disc brakes, which is more effective than the drum brakes. For suspension duties, the SUV gets a McPherson strut with Anti-roll bar at the front and twist beam suspension with coil spring.
The XUV 3XO petrol manual offers an ARAI certified mileage of 20.1kmpl. The mileage drops to 18.2kmpl with the automatic gearbox. The company claims that the diesel model can travel 20.6 kilometers on one litre of fuel.
In real world conditions, the diesel should offer an average fuel economy of up to 15kmpl. The petrol mileage drops to 11-12kmpl in real conditions.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO has a modern and striking design. It includes sleek lines, a bold front grille, and unique LED lighting. The AX7 trim features a large panoramic sunroof, adding a touch of luxury and openness to the driving experience.
The rear profile is completely different from the XUV300. It has an all-new tailgate design with LED tail-lights connected via a LED bar. The SUV gets a prominent dual-tone bumper with a skid plate.
The new bumpers have improved the approach and departure angles. This improves the drive-ability on bad surfaces.
Mahindra added soft-touch leatherette to the dashboard and door trims of the five-seater SUV. They also included a panoramic sunroof. The car has two screens that can connect to your phone and show information.
Each screen is 10.24 inches in size and makes it easy to stay connected while driving. The lower central console appears identical to the XUV300, featuring manual switches for AC controls.
The new Mahindra XUV 3XO measures 3,990mm in length, 1,821mm in width and 1,647mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,600mm. It comes with a ground clearance of 201mm, which is more than sufficient to tackle Indian road conditions.
The new XUV 3XO offers a boot space of 364-litres, which is more than sufficient to carry your weekend bags. The SUV has a fuel tank of 42-litres capacity. The base variant gets 16-inch steel wheels, while the mid-variants get 16-inch alloys wrapped in 205/65 section tyres. The MODEL top model gets 17-inch alloys shod in 215/55 section tyres.
Infotainment and Connectivity (Music System)
The new XUV 3XO gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. For music lovers, the SUV has a Harman Kardon premium audio system with 7 speakers. The audio system comes with Sonic Expanse, Bass Enhancer Technology and 9-Band Equaliser.
It also gets a built-in Amazon Alexa for connected car tech. The connected car tech offers alerts, safety features, location based services, read vehicle status, remote functions and others.
For safety, a surround-view camera system gives a complete view of your surroundings. This system includes a blind-spot monitor and auto-dimming rearview mirror.
The 360-degree view helps you see all around your vehicle. The blind-spot monitor alerts you to vehicles in your blind spots. The auto-dimming rearview mirror reduces glare from headlights behind you.
The Level-2 ADAS provides extra reassurance. It includes front parking assist and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function. These features help make parking easier and safer. Six airbags, ESC with hill hold control and all four disc brakes are available as standard across trims.
Mahindra has provided 8 color options with the XUV 3XO, including Citrine Yellow, Deep Forest, Dune Beige, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Nebula Blue, Stealth Black and Tango Red. All color options can be combined with a dualtone palette.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO competes with popular models in the sub-compact SUV segment. These models include the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Tata Nexon.
