Last month we reported that the Hyundai Creta EV was spied testing on Indian roads, revealing its exterior design details. Now according to a media report, the electric Creta was spotted again but this time in Shimla during a cold weather test run.
Let's discover more!
The pure electric version of Creta will be based on the Creta Facelift that was launched in January this year. Hence, most of the design elements will be similar to its ICE-powered version.
From the design perspective, the upcoming Creta EV will feature an updated front fascia with L-shaped LED DRLs and a blanked-off grille. Other exterior details would include 17-inch aero-optimized alloy wheels, and slim LED tail lamps connected via an LED light bar.
On the inside, the New Hyundai Creta EV will have bolstered front seats covered in white and grey leatherette upholstery. More features are yet to be revealed.
Although the battery details are not completely out, the Creta EV is expected to have a 45 kWh battery pack. In addition, the vehicle will also provide a front-mounted electric motor. Combined, the battery is expected to deliver a maximum power output of 136 bhp with 255 Nm of peak torque. As far as the range is concerned, it is likely to offer 250 to 300 kms on a single full charge.
Since we have spotted the Hyundai Creta EV twice as of now, we can say the model might be launched soon. It is expected to make its entry with a production-ready model by the end of this year. As for the pricing, it should range between Rs 22 lakh to Rs 27 lakh (ex-showroom).
