Mahindra is preparing to update its flagship SUV, the XUV700, with a mid-cycle facelift. Expected to debut in early 2026, the refreshed version will get a range of design tweaks and several new features. A major highlight will be the introduction of a three-screen setup inside the cabin, as seen in new test images.
The current XUV700 comes with a dual-screen display for infotainment and instrumentation. The facelifted model is likely to get a third screen, possibly lifted from the XUV.e9 concept, Mahindra’s upcoming electric coupe SUV.
Apart from the new digital layout, Mahindra is also likely to introduce new creature comforts. These could include auto park assist, rear window sunblinds, and an updated ADAS suite. Higher variants may get ventilated second-row seats in the six-seater layout and a panoramic sunroof with ambient lighting for a more luxurious cabin experience.
On the outside, the 2026 XUV700 will wear a slightly revised look. Expect redesigned LED headlamps and DRLs, a new front grille, and sharper front and rear bumpers. At the back, Mahindra will likely offer updated LED tail-lights and a revised tailgate. A new set of alloy wheels is also expected to complete the updated styling.
Under the hood, the XUV700 facelift is expected to retain its 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines. Both will continue to be paired with 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. Like the current model, an AWD (All-Wheel Drive) option will continue to be available in selected trims.
The updated XUV700 is expected to launch in early 2026, and it will continue to rival models like the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Hyundai Alcazar.
