Latest Update: The XC40 Recharge, Volvo’s first electric car in India, has been renamed C40 Recharge.
The C40 Recharge is available in a sole Ultra variant, priced at Rs 62.95 lakh.
The C40 Recharge comes kitted with features like pixel LED headlamps, fog lamps, panoramic sunroof, two-zone climate control, a 12-inch driver's display, 9-inch Google-powered infotainment system, a 13-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system, powered front seats with heated and cooling functions, powered tailgate with hands-free access, wireless charging, power-folding rear head restraints, rain-sensing wipers, etc.
The C40 Recharge has seven airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, hill start & descent assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), comprising adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance and mitigation for the front, lane keeping aid, blind spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert for both front and rear.
The C40 Recharge is powered by a dual-motor AWD setup, linked with a 78 kWh battery pack. It offers a combined output of 408PS/660Nm with a 40:60 power ratio, allowing the EV to complete the century sprint in only 4.7 seconds.
This electric coupe claims a driving range of up to 530 km on a single charge.
With the help of 250kW DC fast charging, the SUV can be energised from 10 to 80% in only 27 minutes. On the other hand, an 11kW AC home charger will take roughly 8 hours to completely charge the EV.
The C40 Recharge is available in eight colours: Cloud Blue, Onyx Black, Fusion Red, Fjord Blue, Silver Dawn, Vapour Grey, Crystal White, and Sage Green.
The Volvo C40 Recharge measures 4440mm long, and 1873mm wide, with a wheelbase of 2702mm. Its boot capacity is rated at 404 litres.
Competition Check: The C40 Recharge locks horns with the BMW i4, Kia EV6 and Hyundai IONIQ 5.
