Latest Update - The 2025 Volvo XC90 facelift has finally been launched in the Indian market at Rs 1.03 crore (ex-showroom). The new luxury SUV comes with a revised design inside out, new features and improved powertrains.

This epitome of luxury and comfort comes loaded with features like a panoramic sunroof, 10-inch spoked alloys, ventilated Nappa leather upholstery, illuminated sill moulding, heated grille emblem, rear centre armrest, 4-zone climate controls, air purifier, humidity sensor, powered tailgate with hands-free operations, 220W Bowers & Wilkins sound system, a 12.3-inch driver's display, power front seats with massage functions, wireless smartphone charging, a heads-up display, adaptive air suspensions and much more.

The SUV also comes with a larger 11.2-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, which runs on Google-based software and supports over-the-air (OTA) updates. It also gets a 360-degree surround view camera system, memory seats and an air purifier.

Safety Features

Known for its safety, the Volvo XC90 packs multiple airbags, ISOFIX anchors, an Intelligent Driver Information System (IDIS), a 360-degree surround view system, blind-spot detection, pilot assist, and radar-based ADAS suite, comprising features like adaptive cruise control, front & rear collision avoidance system, lane keep assist, city braking system, etc.

The Swedish carmaker offers the flagship XC90 in six body shades: Onyx Black, Denim Blue, Platinum Grey, Bright Dusk, Vapour Grey, and Mulberry Red.

Volvo XC90 Engine and Transmission

Powering the new Volvo XC90 is the same 2.0-litre mild-hybrid turbo petrol engine that produces 250hp and a peak torque of 360N.  Transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed automatic gearbox that transmits power to all four wheels. 

It has a top speed of 180 kmph and can complete the 0 to 100 kmph sprint in just 7.7 seconds.

Dimensions and Boot Space

The Volvo XC90 is 4953mm long, 1931mm wide and 1773mm tall, boasting a wheelbase of 2984mm. It offers a boot capacity of 680 litres with the third row folded. The XC90 has a standard ground clearance of 238mm. With air suspension, the ground clearance of the luxury SUV goes up to 267mm from 238mm.
