Latest Update - The Volvo XC90 has recently received a mid-life facelift update in the international market, featuring a revised design inside out, new features and improved powertrains.
Volvo offers the XC90 in a sole B6 Ultimate variant, which is priced at Rs 1.01 crore (ex-showroom).
This epitome of luxury and comfort comes loaded with features like a panoramic sunroof, 10-inch spoked alloys, ventilated Nappa leather upholstery, illuminated sill moulding, heated grille emblem, rear centre armrest, 4-zone climate controls, air purifier, humidity sensor, powered tailgate with hands-free operations, 220W Bowers & Wilkins sound system, google-powered vertical infotainment, a 12.3-inch driver's display, power front seats with massage functions, wireless smartphone charging, a heds-up display, adaptive air suspensions and much more.
Known for its safety, the Volvo XC90 packs multiple airbags, ISOFIX anchors, an Intelligent Driver Information System (IDIS), a 360-degree surround view system, blind-spot detection, pilot assist, and radar-based ADAS suite, comprising features like adaptive cruise control, front & rear collision avoidance system, lane keep assist, city braking system, etc.
The Swedish carmaker offers the flagship XC90 in six body shades: Onyx Black, Denim Blue, Platinum Grey, Bright Dusk, Vapour Grey, and Crystal White.
Powering the XC90 is a 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine (300PS/420Nm), paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. Automatic duties are handled by an 8-speed automatic gearbox that transmits power to all four wheels.
It has a top speed of 180 kmph and can complete the 0 to 100 kmph sprint in just 7.7 seconds.
The SUV claims a fuel efficiency of 8 kmpl.
The Volvo XC90 is 4953mm long, 1931mm wide and 1773mm tall, boasting a wheelbase of 2984mm. It offers a boot capacity of 680 litres with the third row folded.
The XC90 goes up against the BMW X5, Audi Q7, Mercedes-Benz GLS, and Range Rover Velar.
