The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends power to the car’s front wheels. It enables the sedan to complete the century sprint in simply 7.1 seconds.

The 220d M Sport variant is fueled by a 2.0-litre in-line four-cylinder turbocharged diesel mill that churns out a maximum power of 190PS at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 400Nm between 1,750-2,500 rpm. It comes mated to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission and clocks 0-100kmph in 7.5 seconds.

Mileage

According to BMW, its petrol engine claims a fuel efficiency of 14.82 km/l, whereas the oil burner can do 18.64 kilometres in a litre of fuel.

Colours

Depending on the variant, BMW offers the 2 Series in six colour options: Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Storm Bay, Missano Blue, Melbourne Red, and the elegant-looking Snapper Rocks.

Dimensions and Boot

The BMW 2 Series GC is 4,526mm long, 2081mm wide and 1,420mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,670mm. It offers a boot space of 430 litres.
