Variants: Mercedes-AMG A-Class comes in a sole A 45 S 4MATIC+ variant, priced at Rs 93.65 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU).
It gets high-performance LED headlights, a roof-mounted spoiler, quad exhausts, matt black finished 19-inch cross-spoke forged alloy wheels, AMG Performance steering wheel, black ARTICO man-made leather and DINAMICA microfibre upholstery, a head-up display (HUD), a 10.25-inch MBUX infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, connected car tech, power-adjustable AMG sports seats with memory function & 4-way Lumbar support, 12-speaker Burmester sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting, and six driving modes (Comfort, Sport, Sport +, Slippery, Race, and Individual) that adjust the cylinder compression, engine output, gear shift timings, and driver-assist, accordingly.
Its safety net includes multiple airbags, traction control, hill assist, a 360-degree camera with Active Parking Assist, Active Lane Keep Assist, and Blind-Spot Assist.
The Mercedes-Benz A-Class can be specced with up to seven paint options – Cosmos Black, Hightech Silver, Mountain Grey, Polar White, Spectral Blue, AMG Light Green, and Manufaktur Patagonia Red.
Powering the AMG A 45 S is a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, generating 421PS of maximum grunt and 500Nm of peak torque. This makes it the world’s most powerful 4-cylinder production vehicle.
It comes paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) that drives the all-wheels of the car, enabling it to reach the 100 kmph mark from a standstill in only 3.1 seconds before reaching an electronically capped top speed of 270 kmph.
This German performance hatch is 4445mm long, 1855mm wide, 1412mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2729mm. It boasts a boot space of 370 litres.
