Mercedes-Benz India has finally launched its most powerful model the GT 63 S E Performance in the country at a price tag of Rs 3.30 crore (ex-showroom). This flagship model from the brand's AMG portfolio is not only the first plug-in hybrid but the most powerful production car from Mercedes-AMG. The company has also stated that Indian customers who book this new Mercedes model will get their keys directly from Lewis Hamilton (Seven-Time Formula One Champion).
The New Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance highlights subtle exterior design updates. It includes a redesigned front bumper, new exhaust outlets, and a new design for the 20 to 21-inch alloy wheels. In addition, the car gets a flap on its rear bumper that houses a charging port.
Apart from these exterior upgrades, some minor changes could also be seen on the inside. Just like other Mercedes PHEV models, the 4-door coupe offers the driver several hybrid-specific details including real-time power consumption data, EV range indicator, and electric motor power gauge through the MBUX infotainment system. Besides, the vehicle now has buttons to enhance the sound experience using the toggle between Balanced or Powerful. These buttons are placed on the steering wheel.

With this kind of performance, the AMG GT 63 S E Performance can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds having a top speed of 316 kmph.
Apart from this, the 4-door coupe is equipped with a 6.1kWh, 400V battery pack. This gives power to the motor only in EV mode. It offers a claimed range of 12 kms and its top speed is rated at 130 kmph. Moreover, the performance car offers 7 Drive Modes namely Slippery, Individual, Comfort, Sport, Electric, Sport+, and Race.
