New Car Buying Platform
Hyundai India has officially launched the highly anticipated facelift of the Hyundai Alcazar, with prices starting at Rs 14.99 lakh for the turbocharged petrol and Rs 15.99 lakh for the diesel (all prices ex-showroom). This year’s update brings a host of exterior and cabin updates. Online and offline bookings for the SUV have been open for a token amount of Rs 25,000.
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar is available in four trim levels: Platinum, Signature, Prestige and Executive. Customers can choose between a six-seater or seven-seater layout, catering to various needs and preferences. Additionally, the Alcazar offers a diverse palette of eight exterior colours, including Atlas White, Abyss Black Pearl, Ranger Khaki, Fiery Red, Robust Emerald Pearl Matte (New), Starry Night, Titan Grey Matte and Atlas White with Abyss Black roof.
Up front, Hyundai has revamped the front fascia with new H-shaped LED DRLs that sit above the quad-LED headlights. There’s a new radiator grille finished in a dark shade. Also new are 18-inch machined alloy wheels and the back profile looks more in line with the Hyundai Creta with connected LEDs.
The top-spec model boasts a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with wireless smartphone connectivity, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and a 360-degree surround camera. The first and second-row seats also get the ventilated function and the former can be moved using Boss Mode for extended legroom. Furthermore, it is equipped with a Level 2 ADAS suite and a wireless charger, ensuring both convenience and safety for its occupants.
The new Alcazar comes with wireless charger in the second-row, seat back table with cup holder and rear window sunshade. It sports a digital key with NFC, which allows the user to lock and unlock a car using a smartphone and smartwatch. The key can be shared with upto 3 users and can be used on upto 7 devices. The SUV also comes with an 8 speaker Bose sound system, which is claimed to offer a Theater like experience.
Under the hood, the Alcazar continues to be powered by two ICE options: a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine (158bhp/253Nm) is available with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT gearbox, while the diesel mill (115bhp/250Nm) comes with a choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter unit. Hyundai claims a mileage of 17.5 km/l (6MT) and 18 km/l (7DCT) in the turbo petrol guise, while the latter returns 20.4 km/l (6MT) and 18.1 km/l (6AT), respectively.
The 3-row SUV comes equipped with paddle shifters, which allows users to make quickshifts while overtaking. It offers 3 driving modes - Eco, Normal and Sport. Moreover, three traction modes are also available including Sand, Snow and Mud.
The Hyundai Alcazar will continue to compete fiercely in the three-row SUV segment, going head-to-head with rivals such as the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV700
