The Hyundai Exter micro SUV is all set to receive its first special edition in the Indian market. Called the Exter Knight Edition, the new special version will join the Venue Knight in Hyundai's India line-up. The pre-facelift version of the Creta was also offered with this special edition.
The company has released the teaser video of the Hyundai Exter Knight Edition on its social media platforms. The teaser reveals that the micro SUV is finished in black paint scheme with contrasting red garnish on the tailgate. The red treatment is also visible on the roof-mounted spoiler and blacked-out pillars.
Similar to the Venue Knight, the Exter Knight will receive black treatment on multiple body parts including grille, pillars, roof rails and alloy wheels. The company could also use glossy black finish on some body panels. Not just the exterior, the Hyundai Exter will also receive a blacked-out interior scheme. The Knight badges will be added on the headrests. Hyundai could add floor mats in black finish. Most of the features will be shared with the standard models.
The Hyundai Exter Knight will be powered by the same 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This engine churns out 81bhp of power and a peak torque of 113Nm. For transmission duties, the SUV could receive a 5-speed manual or an AMT unit. The regular Exter is also offered with a CNG variant; however, the Knight edition is not likely to receive a CNG powertrain.
The new Jeep Recon electric SUV will be developed on the STLA Large platform, which also underpins the new Alfa Stelvio.
