Hyundai Motor India has officially opened bookings for its New Grand i10 NIOS and Aura Facelift models. Interested customers can book their new car at the token amount of Rs 11,000 across all Hyundai dealerships. As a part of a mid-life cycle update, the Grand i10 NIOS now comes with a refreshed exterior along with new additional technology and safety features. While the Hyundai Aura Facelift offers enhanced interior/exterior appeal and best-in-class safety features. The Korean company is expected to launch both models at the Delhi Auto Expo 2023.
In terms of exterior, the facelifted version of the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS comes with significant design changes. The model features a reworked front bumper that houses an enlarged grill with a black finish. Moving on to the side, the hatchback receives a new set of 15-inch alloy wheels. Towards the rear, Hyundai has added a new set of LED taillights that are connected via a light bar.
As for the Hyundai Aura,it has been given a subtle makeover. The compact sedan now gets a redesigned bumper with a large grille and L-shaped daytime running lights. In addition, the model receives LED tail lights and redesigned spoiler at the rear.
The Grand i10 NIOS has the same cabin layout as the outgoing model. However, the facelifted version features some changes. These include new grey upholstery for the seats, new lighting for the footwell, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Talking about the features, it retains the 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It also gets automatic climate control, rear AC vents, a wireless charger, and additional tech which include cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic headlamps, and Type-C USB ports.
Talking about the interior profile of the Hyundai Aura Facelift, it gets a new seat fabric design and pattern, glossy black inserts, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. In terms of safety, the car provides curtain airbags, side airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system. New equipment added to this list include Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Automatic Headlamps, and a lot more.
New Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS is powered by the current 1.2-litre petrol engine that can produce a power output of 81 bhp and 113.8 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. In addition, the model gets a factory-fitted CNG kit in the 1.2-litre petrol engine that can deliver 68 bhp and 95.2 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
Hyundai Aura Facelift on the other hand is offered with three powertrain options including a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol with 5-speed manual transmission, 1.2-litre Kappa petrol with Smart Auto AMT, and a 1.2-litre Bi-Fuel (Petrol with CNG) with 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol variant (both MT & AMT) can produce 81 bhp and 113.8 Nm of peak torque while the Bi-Fuel (Petrol with CNG) can deliver 68 bhp and 95.2 Nm of torque.
