New Car Buying Platform
Mahindra had launched the Scorpio Classic as a replacement of the iconic Scorpio SUV in 2022. Surprisingly, the new SUV received a positive response from buyers and has been racking good numbers when it comes to sales. In order to further boost sales, Mahindra has announced a new Boss Edition of the Scorpio Classic.
The existing Scorpio Classic is available in two variants - Classic S and Classic S11 - priced at Rs 13.62 lakh and Rs 17.42 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom). The company has not released the prices of the new Scorpio Classic Bose Edition, which we believe could sit right between the two variants.
The company has released images and key details of the SUV on its social media platforms. The SUV is expected to be offered in a sole Napoli Black shade. It comes with specific changes to outside and inside to differentiate itself from the regular model.
The Scorpio Classic Boss Edition receive dark chrome treatment around front grille, headlights, fog lamps, bonnet scoop, tail-lights and door handles. Mahindra has added front bumper extender and silver skid plate, which adds to its rugged look. The outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) are finished in carbon fibre.
The dark chrome treatment for door handles and tail-lamp gives it a unique look. The rear reflector is enclosed in dark chrome applique, while the rear guard comes with black powder coating. Inside the cabin, the SUV gets Boss Black Seats upholstery and Comfort kit. The Scorpio Classic Boss Edition has dual-tone Black and Beige scheme for the dashboard layout, while the Comfort Kit adds neck cushions and pillows. It gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear parking camera, cruise control and climate control.
The Boss Edition is available in 5 colour options - Red Rage, Napoli Black, Dsat Silver, Pearl White and Galaxy Grey. The SUV rides on 17-inch wheels in a dual-tone finish. It is powered by a Gen 2 mHawk 2.2L diesel engine that produces 130hp and 300Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
