The homegrown UV maker, Mahindra is preparing a wide range of new SUVs including facelifts of existing models. The XUV700 and Scorpio N are the first one to receive big updates. Adding to it, the 3-door Thar lifestyle SUV will also receive a major upgrade this year. The Mahindra Thar 3-door facelift is likely to receive subtle design changes and an upgraded interior along with new features.
The updated Thar SUV is likely to share features with the new Thar Roxx, which is already loaded with several equipment. The higher trims could get a 360-degree surround view camera and Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) with features like adaptive cruise control, lane assist, collision avoidance system, blind spot monitoring and others.
The Thar 3-door facelift will continue to be offered with the existing engine line-up including a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel, a 2.0L turbocharged petrol and a 2.0L turbo diesel. The 1.5L diesel engine is offered with the RWD layout, and is capable of producing 117bhp and 300Nm of torque.
