Honda’s popular compact sedan, the Amaze, is all set to enter its third generation in just a few days. The all-new model has been spotted in multiple spy images, videos, teasers, and now the clearest pictures emerging from dealerships. The new Honda Amaze boasts significantly improved styling and additional features, including the Honda Sensing ADAS suite. However, no changes have been made under the hood.
The new-generation model continues to be powered by the existing 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine, which delivers 89bhp and 110Nm of torque. The transmission options have also been retained from the current generation: a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic.
One of the biggest upgrades in the 2025 Honda Amaze is the inclusion of ADAS technology, borrowed from the Elevate midsize SUV. This suite offers advanced safety features such as lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, lead car departure notification, and road departure mitigation. The compact sedan also inherits the LaneWatch camera from its SUV sibling.
Additionally, the new Honda Amaze features an Elevate-inspired dashboard design, steering wheel, and center console. Inside the cabin, the highlight is a new 10.2-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, which is likely to support wireless smartphone connectivity.
Radical design changes have been made to the 2025 Honda Amaze. The compact sedan now sports a larger front grille with a chrome bar, newly-designed LED projector headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, and LED projector fog lamps. Both the front and rear bumpers have been revised.
Unlike the current generation, the new Amaze comes equipped with rain-sensing wipers, with sensors mounted on the front windscreen. The side profile appears refreshed with new alloy wheels. At the rear, the 2025 Honda Amaze features redesigned taillamp clusters and a shark fin antenna.
As far as pricing is concerned, a minimal hike is expected. While the current-generation Amaze is priced between Rs 7.20 lakh and Rs 9.96 lakh, the all-new model is likely to cost around Rs 7.50 lakh for the base variant and up to Rs 10 lakh for the top-end variant.
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 7-seater, code-named Y17, has been spotted testing. It comes with design enhancements and the same engine choices, with a launch later in 2025 anticipated.
