Hyundai is preparing the next-gen Venue compact SUV that has been caught testing multiple times on the Indian roads. The spy images available on the Internet reveal key details about the new-gen Hyundai Venue design and interior changes. In this article, we talk about the top changes and launch details of the upcoming sub-4 meter SUV from the Korean brand.
The next-gen Hyundai Venue is currently in its testing phase. In fact, the prototypes spotted were carrying production-ready body panels, suggesting that the SUV could be in final phases of testing. Internally codenamed QU2i, the new Venue compact SUV is likely to arrive in our market towards the end of this year. A possible launch during the festive season, just before Diwali can’t be ignored.
The spy images confirm that the new gen Hyundai Venue will have more evolved design, retaining the overall silhouette combining with new design elements. It retains the boxy design, but has more cleaner lines and less creases. The front fascia will be completely new with inspiration from latest Hyundai SUVs on sale in India and global markets. It has less angular design in the front, featuring the signature rectangular-patterned grille and new split LED headlamp setup.
The silhouette previews boxy design, but has new pronounced wheel arches with thicker cladding, new 16-inch diamond cut alloys, and new outside rear view mirrors along with roof rails. It will also come with disc brakes for all four wheels, which is currently available on the Venue N Line. At the back, the SUV will have newly designed tailgate, connected LED tail-lights and longer roof spoiler, and new bumper.
Interior details are yet to be revealed, but the next-gen Hyundai Venue is most likely to receive an all-new cabin loaded with multiple high-end features. It is expected to share its features with the Creta and Alcazar. Moreover, most of the tech features are likely to be sourced from the Kia Syros.
It is likely to receive a large 30-inch display incorporating a 12.3-inch touchscreen unit, a 12.3-inch digital instrument console and a 5-inch display for climate control. Other features could get a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and sliding and reclining second-row seats.
The next-gen Venue compact SUV is likely to be equipped with several high-end safety and security features. The previous spy images confirm that the new SUV will have RADAR-based LEVEL 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) and front parking sensors. For people not in the know, the current model has LEVEL 1 ADAS. The SUV will have adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane assist, auto high beam and others.
The new-gen Hyundai Venue is likely to retain the existing engine options - a 118bhp, 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol, an 82bhp, 1.2L, 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol and a 99bhp, 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo diesel. Gearbox choices include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
If reports are to be believed, the next Venue will also receive an electric derivative in the near future. It is likely to share battery pack and electric motor with the Hyundai Creta Electric. In fact, Kia will also launch the Syros EV in India in early 2026.
