Nissan has showcased two vehicles from its upcoming electric car line-up, which includes the New-gen Micra. The brand is planning to launch electric cars in Europe this year. Also, the automaker has revealed that it will launch the Nissan Juke by 2026. For now, let's get to know what the all-new Micra will offer customers.
This New-gen Micra features many design elements from the motorsport-themed 20-23 EV concept shown. The all-electric version gets circular LED DRLs with a horizontal bar-like LED headlight unit, which the automaker calls "Puppy-Dog Headlights". It gets a flat-ish bonnet and crossover-like body claddings painted in gloss black.
Furthermore, there is a shark antenna and a floating effect for its roof. This electric Micra does not have a rear spoiler.
The all-electric Micra is based on the CMF-BEV platform, which also underpins the Renault 5. Nissan will work with Renault for the manufacturing of the new Zero Emission Micra in France.
The brand launched the Micra model in ICE form a long time ago, and this all-electric version will be the 5th Gen of the model. It will be offered with two battery pack options, a 40 kWh battery and a 52 kWh battery. The EV is claimed to range over 400 km in the larger unit on a single full charge.
