Kia Motors recently launched the new Carnival in India alongside the flagship EV9. Priced at Rs 63.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the second-generation Carnival comes in a single fully loaded variant. The company has now even started delivering this model. Interestingly, one of the popular cricketers Suresh Raina was the first owner to get the new Carnival delivered.
The dealership shared an Instagram post with the caption, "Congratulations, Mr. Suresh Raina on your new Kia Carnival Limousine-your very own luxury liner! Thank you for placing your trust in us for your car purchase. We're proud to deliver the first Kia Carnival to the Indian Cricketer." Kabaddi player Rahul Chaudhary also congratulated the cricketer in the comments.
The latest Carnival is available only in a Limousine Plus variant, offering attractive design elements and a range of features. It flaunts its brand's signature tiger-nose front grille in black and chrome. It is flanked by the Ice-Cube LED projector headlamps and the Starmap DRLs.
Some of the other premium features include ventilated front seats, powered doors for the 2nd row, dual sunroof, three-zone climate control, 11-inch head-up display, 12-speaker Bose system, 64-colour ambient lighting, push start/stop button, shift-by-wire, rain-sensing wipers, 18-inch alloy wheels, 360-degree camera, and the Level 2 ADAS kit.
The third-generation Kia Carnival MPV comes with a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox, this engine delivers the maximum power of 190 bhp and 441 Nm of torque. It offers a claimed range of 14.85 kmpl. It also comes with three years of free maintenance, Roadside Assistance, and a warranty.
Tata Motors will launch the new Sierra ICE and EV before the end of this year - Harrier EV launch expected in May-June 2025.
