Škoda Auto is slated to unveil the Next-Gen Superb and Kodiaq globally by late 2023, with separate premieres of both models. Now, the Czech automaker has released teasers of the upcoming cars, giving us a sneak peek into their all-new design language. We take a closer look.
While the official teasers reveal very little about the upcoming models, you can notice a few signature design elements. For instance, the Next-Gen Superb will provide L-shaped LED headlights similar to the one on the outgoing model. Towards the rear, both the sedan and estate variants will feature sleek C-shaped LED tail lights. The Superb is expected to provide an integrated lip spoiler while the Combi’s spoiler is mounted on the bootlid.
As for the Next-Generation Kodiaq’s teaser, it reveals an L-shaped LED headlight design with a smaller light sitting below it. Compared to the Superb’s flat design, the upcoming SUV’s headlights have an angular and hexagonal shape. The image also depicts that the Kodiaq will be getting a boot lid spoiler while the taillights will be slimmer than the current model.
The automaker is yet to fully reveal the powertrain details of the upcoming Superb and Kodiaq. Both models are likely to continue with the current diesel and petrol engine options. Speculation has it that they could also offer mild and strong-hybrid variants.
Škoda has confirmed that the New Superb and Superb Combi will be produced at Volkswagen group’s facility in Bratislava, Slovakia. On the other hand, the Kodiaq will be built at the brand’s plant in Kvasiny, Czech Republic. The SUV’s outgoing model is also produced at the same factory.

The automobile maker is yet to announce a launch date of the Next-Gen Superb and Kodiaq in India. Expect the SUV to arrive first as the current model has been quite popular for the brand. The new Superb luxury sedan could also be launched in our market as the older model has been a segment leader. However, the company is expected not bring in the Superb Combi due to the lack of demand for estate cars in India.
