The production-ready Tata Harrier EV was recently caught on camera without any camouflage, revealing its final design details. Painted in dual-tone white and black colour, the spied model looks slightly different from its ICE-powered counterpart. The SUV’s electric version features an EV-specific closed-off grille and a revised bumper with vertical slats at the front end. This entire setup closely resembles that of the Tata Nexon EV. The EV also features newly-designed aero-optimized alloy wheels.
The test mule was devoid of ‘.EV’ badge on the front doors, although it expected to offer on the final model. Save for the rear bumper (which looks EV-specific), the rear profile appears exactly similar to the regular Harrier. No changes will be made to the dimensions. Similar to its ICE version, the electric Harrier will measure 4,605 mm in length, 1,922 mm in width and 1,718 mm in height. The SUV will sit on a 2,714 mm of wheelbase and has a ground clearance of 205 mm.
The latest spy images also show a little bit of its interior. One can notice a floating touchscreen infotainment system, which is likely to be around 12.3-inch in size. The SUV also has a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. Unlike the ICE-powered Harrier, the Tata Harrier EV will come with the dual-tone Black and White cabin theme.
The Harrier EV will offer all goodies available with its ICE counterpart including:
- 7 airbags
- ADAS
- Hill descent control
- Tyre pressure monitoring system
- Electronic stability program
- ABS with EBD
- ESP with driver doze off feature
- Connected car tech
- JBL-tuned 10-speaker audio system
- 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Dual zone climate control
- Powered driver’s seat with ventilation, memory and welcome function
- Air purifier
- Wireless charger
- Electronic parking brake
- 360 degree camera
- Panoramic sunroof
- Ambient lighting
- Height adjustable driver’s seat
- Cruise control
- Terrain response modes
- Keyless go
Tata Motors has remained tight-lipped about its powertrain details. However, the carmaker has confirmed that the Harrier EV will come with dual motor and AWD (all-wheel drive) layout. Its range is expected to be over 500 km on a single charge. The lower trims are likely to come with the smaller battery pack and a single motor setup.
The electric Harrier is all set to hit roads in March, 2025. However, its official launch date is yet to be announced. The SUV’s electric iteration will surely be priced premium over its ICE counterpart, which is available within the price range of Rs 15 lakh – Rs 26.50 lakh (all, ex-showroom). The entry-level variant of the Harrier EV is expected to cost around Rs 24 lakh and the top-end, feature-loaded variant might be priced nearly Rs 30 lakh.
