Tata Motors had launched the Curvv EV in the country on August 7. Bookings for the new model commenced from August 12. Now, deliveries of the Tata Curvv EV have begun starting today. The electric SUV Coupe is available in the price bracket of Rs 17.49 lakh to Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
On the day of launch of the Curvv EV, Tata Motors had also unveiled the Curvv petrol and diesel in the country. The company has officially announced that the prices of the Curvv ICE version will be revealed on September 2, 2024. Dealers have already started accepting pre-orders for the ICE version of the Tata Curvv SUV Coupe.
The Curvv EV is available with two battery pack options - 45kWh and 55kWh - offering a certified range of over 502km and 585km, respectively on a single charge. The 45kWh battery pack is coupled to a 150 PS/215 Nm electric motor, while the 55 kWh is paired with a 167 PS/215 Nm electric motor. The electric SUV also supports V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) and V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) charging functionality.
The battery can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in 40 minutes using a 70kW DC fast charger. It takes around 6.5 hours to charge the battery using a 7.2 kW AC charger. The bigger battery pack takes around 8 hours to fully charge using the 7.2 kW AC charger.
While the Curvv EV is based on the Acti.ev platform, the ICE Version is based on the new ATLAS platform. This platform is versatile enough to accommodate different body styles. In fact, the next-gen Nexon and the Sierra ICE are also likely to be based on this platform.
It is offered with 3 engine options - a 118bhp/170Nm, 1.2L 3-cylinder turbo petrol, a 116bhp, 1.5L Kryotec diesel and a new 123bhp/225Nm, 1.2L direct-injection turbo petrol engine. All three engines are offered with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic option.
