Tata Motors has revealed the near production version of the Sierra petrol at the 2025 Auto Expo. The company aims to offer a feature-loaded cabin with the lifestyle SUV. It seems like Tata is following Mahindra's strategy of offering triple screen layout in its car. And, the Sierra will be the first model to offer 3 screens dominating the dashboard.
Tata Motors has confirmed that the new Sierra will be launched in the second half of 2025. Our sources reveal that the Tata Sierra ICE and EV launch will happen in the month of November; however, Tata is yet to make an official announcement on the same. Before this lifestyle SUV, Tata will introduce the new Harrier EV in the country.
The company has revealed that the upcoming Tata Sierra will have a triple-screen setup dominating the dashboard. The connected screen will incorporate a touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital driver's display and a co-passenger's screen.
The SUV gets a four-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls for music, ADAS and other functions. In terms of features, the lifestyle SUV will get a 360-degree surround view camera, a panoramic sunroof, touch-based AC controls, leatherette seats with ventilation, electrically adjustable driver and co-driver seats and others.
The Tata Sierra retains the original design with modern styling elements. It has the upright front with an LED light bar running above the glossy-black finished panel, and a vertically stacked headlamps. The bumper houses square inserts on either side and a faux skid plate.
The SUV gets a boxy design with side having plain surfaces, dual-tone alloy wheels and flush-fitting door handles. Also, it has SIERRA lettering on the front doors, body-coloured B-pillars, and black roof rails. The rear also has futuristic design, featuring a connected LED light setup, and a large black insert on the rear bumper.
The new Sierra ICE will be powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine that powers the Harrier and Safari. It is also likely to receive Tata's new 1.5L 4-cylinder Hyperion TGDi turbo-petrol engine, which will also power the Safari and Harrier. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and 7-speed DCT.
Tata Motors will launch the new Sierra ICE and EV before the end of this year - Harrier EV launch expected in May-June 2025.
