ISUZU New-Generation mu-X

The new Isuzu D-Max pick-up is now available in a new cab chassis variant in the Indian market. Isuzu claims that the new Cab-chassis variant is launched to address specific requirements of the customers in the commercial vehicle segment.  The new Isuzu D-Max 1.7 Single Cab Cab-Chassis Std variant targets the customers who are operating vehicle applications across long trips in various business such as, Perishables, FMCG, Food & Catering, Last-mile delivery, etc. The new model will offer flexibility to customers to construct their own load-bodies suited to business requirements.  It is powered by a 2.5-litre ISUZU 4JA1 diesel engine that churns out 78bhp at 3,800rpm and a peak torque of 176Nm at 1,500-2,400rpm. This engine is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The D-Max comes with fabric seats and has height adjustable seat belts for occupant comfort and safety. The instrument console has GSI (Gear Shift Indicator) that allows the driver to use the ideal gear in any driving condition. The front and rear suspension having independent coil springs and rigid leaf springs respectively, provide greater stability to the vehicle. The D-Max comes with BOS (Brake Override System), which cuts power to the engine in case of panic braking (when the brake and accelerator pedals are being depressed at the same time). Japanese automaker Isuzu has introduced the facelifted MU-X SUV in Thailand. The company has confirmed that the updated model will also go on sale in other markets where it is on sale. The 2024 Isuzu MU-X comes with cosmetic design changes and an upgraded interior; however, the ladder-frame chassis and powertrain options remain the same.  Top Changes The 2024 Isuzu MU-X comes with a redesigned front fascia, featuring restyled headlamp setup and a new air curtain into the front bumper. The SUV also gets redesigned aluminium wheels. Similar to the exterior, the cabin styling has been revamped to offer a premium feel. The instrument panel, seats and door trim have been redesigned to offer a premium feel.  The company has also introduced the RS version of the SUV, which comes with black elements across its exterior design. There is an exclusive RS emblem on the front grille, offering a sportier and sleeker profile. The cabin of the new Isuzu MU-X gets ambient lighting and foot lamps. The SUV also gets a Surround view monitor system and a 7-inch TFT LCD display to the instrument panel.  The 2024 Isuzu MU-X facelift also comes with advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). It has a camera-based ADAS tech with features collision avoidance system, autonomous emergency braking, rear collision avoidance system and others. In cold weather, the system automatically warms the windshield around the camera lens to prevent fogging and this avoids the risk of safety features malfunctioning.  2024 Isuzu MU-X Specs In terms of proportions, the new Isuzu MU-X is 4,860mm long, 1,885mm wide and 1,875mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,855mm. The SUV rides on 20-inch wheels wrapped with 265/50R20 section tyres. Powering the SUV is a 3.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 188bhp at 3,600rpm and 450Nm at 1,600-2,600rpm.
