The much-anticipated Mahindra XEV e9 and BE 6e electric SUV Coupe's will finally make their global debut on November 26, 2025. After releasing the battery specifications, Mahindra has released the design sketches of both electric SUVs. For people not in the know, the XEV e9 and BE 6e are the production versions of the XUV.e9 and BE.05 which were unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo.
Mahindra said that "these bold designs signal a new era of innovation, aesthetics, and emotional connection in automotive design." Both SUVs are designed on the brand's "Heartcore Design" philosophy, which will be seen on upcoming Mahindra SUVs in the market.
The official sketch reveals that the design of the XEV 9e stays true to its original concept. It features coupe-SUV silhouette with steeply reclined rear-end. The front has a wide closed-off grille, an illuminated Mahindra logo, LED projector headlamps with uniquely styled LED daytime running lamps. There is a LED light strip that runs above the grille and move downwards to surround the main headlamp setup, forming a reverse U-shape.
The electric SUV Coupe has prominent wheel arche, pop-out flush door handles, sculpted body panels and a sleeker roofline. The interior of the XEV e9 will have a triple-screen setup comprising of a touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument console, and a display for co-occupant. It will have a panoramic sunroof, color-coded dashboard layout, and two-spoke steering wheel.
Similar to the XEV 9e, the Mahindra BE 6e comes with aggressive stance and sharply designed front fascia. It features LED projector headlamps with vertical light signatures and LED daytime running lamps. The SUV gets a wide closed-off grille, LED light strips surrounding the headlamp unit, and an illuminated BE insignia on the bonnet. It also gets flush-type door handles, and pronounced squarish wheel arches with gloss-black cladding. The rear door handles are mounted on the C-pillars, which is similar to the one offered on the C-pillars.
The cabin has a dual-screen setup for the infotainment and instrumentation. It will have a two-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with an illuminated BE logo, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting and a unique split center console.
Both electric SUVs are designed and developed on Mahindra's new scalable INGLO architecture, which is compatible with AWD setup and different body styles. The electric SUVs will come with two battery LFP batteries of 59kWh and 79kWh capacities, and a rear-axle-mounted electric motor. The outputs for the motor range between 231hp and 286hp, depending on the application.
The EVs also supports fast charging up to 175kW. Using 175kW DC fast charger, the batteries can charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes. The electric SUV will offer drive modes, a semi-active suspension setup and brake-by-wire technology.
