Maruti Suzuki has started the pre-bookings for the new-gen Alto K10; Book the car at a token amount of Rs 11,000 at any ARENA dealership; Based on the Heartect platform, the hatch gets a new front profile.
India’s best-selling hatchback is all set to enter the Indian market in an all-new avatar. Due for a generation change, the Alto K10 has got a new front fascia. Spied a few weeks ago during a TVC shoot, the updated model will be based on Maruti Suzuki’s Heartect platform ensuring a safe, comfortable and enjoyable driving experience while offering an excellent NVH performance.
Maruti Suzuki has started accepting bookings for its upcoming entry-level hatch ahead of its launch in the coming weeks. Customers can pre-book the four-wheeler at a nominal amount of Rs 11,000 at the brand’s ARENA dealership’s or online on the company’s official website.
In a teaser image shared by the company to announce the start of booking, it has shared a glimpse of the hatch’s front-end design. Built on the HEARTECT platform, the car gets a more prominent front grille with a mesh design. The vehicle is flanked by some clean creases which add to the appeal of the vehicle. Other changes on the outside include a new headlamp housing, steel wheels with a new wheel cover design. Inside the cabin, the new Alto will be equipped with a host of comfort, safety, convenience, and connectivity features.
In terms of powertrain, the Alto K10 is expected to be powered by the new 1.0-litre K-Series engine, similar to the one recently added to Maruti S-Presso. This 3-cylinder motor will be paired to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AGS gearbox.

Once launched, the new Alto K10 will rekindle its rivalry with the Renault Kwid and Hyundai Santro in its segment.
Renault opens its largest global design centre in Chennai, marking a key step in expanding its presence in both Indian and international markets.
