New Maruti Baleno Facelift has been launched between Rs 6.35 lakhs to Rs 9.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) in India.
Maruti Suzuki’s premium hatchback the Baleno has been relaunched in the form of a facelifted version. 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift price starts from Rs 6.75 lakhs to Rs 9.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) India. The Baleno Facelift offers a host of upgrades which includes a reworked exterior design followed by a revamped interior which provides a whole lot of tech and a new petrol engine. The model is divided into four variants namely Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. There are six colour options to choose from, they are Nexa Blue, Luxe Beige, Grandeur Grey, Opulent Red, Splendid Silver and Artic White.
A closer look at the exterior and the design of the 2022 Baleno Facelift will attract the naked eye from the word go. This is due to elements like a new grille which is now much bigger in size than before. Then there are L-shaped wraparound headlamps equipped with LED daytime running lights alongside projectors. Unlike before the hood of the vehicle is not curvaceous but rather flat. Featuring reworked front and rear fenders, the side profile of the four-wheeler remains more or less the same as the previous generation. While the tailgate caters to a new design offering L-shaped tail lights and a new bumper.
The cabin of Maruti Baleno Facelift is where most of the changes will get noticed. A new dashboard layout lends it a premium feel. Loaded with tech, the Baleno Facelift now offers a 9.0-inch Smartplay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system with Advanced Voice Assist and Surround Sense powered by ARKAMYS. Head Up Display (HUD), a 360-degree parking camera, Alexa connect, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Cruise Control, rear A/C vents, USB ports for charging are all part of the equipment list. For the first time, the Baleno is going to come fitted with 6 airbags. Other safety features on board will include Hill Hold Assist, ESP (Electronic Stability Control), speed alert system and ABS with EBD. In comparison to the older version, the upholstery available in the new car has also been updated.
The power plant provided in 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift is a new 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine. This unit is said to deliver a maximum power output of 89 bhp with 113 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT. Available with Idle Start Stop Technology, the new updated hatchback will provide a fuel economy of 22.35 kmpl for the manual transmission followed by the AMT returning a figure of 22.94 kmpl. The company is also providing a subscription on the model at a monthly rental fee starting from Rs 13,999. Deliveries of the four wheeler will begin from today as Maruti claims to have received around 25,000 bookings for this car till date.
