Upcoming 2022 ZS EV Facelift interior details have officially been revealed
MG Motor India’s next product offering is going to be the ZS EV Facelift expected to be launched sometime this month. The British marquee has already provided a glimpse into the exterior design of the soon to be introduced electric SUV. Now they have released details of what the interior of the four-wheeler would look like.
As per the official images shared by the company, the ZS EV Facelift will offer ample space and comfort for occupants seated at the rear. The cabin will come equipped with leather upholstery. The front seats will provide a rear pocket to store things. Features like cupholders available within the rear seat center arm-rest, air conditioning vents and center head rest will surely enhance the overall user experience. New additions to the cabin could include a larger touchscreen infotainment system offering Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MG’s i-Smart Connected Car Technology. There is also talk of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) being brought into the package. This particular system provides elements like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, a 360-degree camera and more.
Coming to the exterior design, the facelift version will feature an updated nose. Design elements like a front-covered grille, LED headlamps, DRL’s, a new front bumper , set of new 17-inch alloy wheels and a new tail light are going to be key highlights of the ZS EV Facelift. For charging purposes the socket available in the front grille will now be positioned to the left of the MG logo. Production of this vehicle is expected to commence soon at MG’s Halol manufacturing facility situated in the state of Gujarat. Currently the company has a production capacity of 80,000 vehicles annually, thereby employing nearly 2500 workers.
When launched into the Indian market, the MG ZS EV Facelift will compete against rivals like Tata Nexon EV and the Hyundai Kona in its segment.
Likely to be launched in April 2025, the Volkswagen Golf GTI will be a performance oriented hatchback with 0-100kmph acceleration in just 5.9 seconds.
