Land Rover has launched the latest iteration of the Discovery Sport in India, priced at Rs 67.90 lakh, (ex-showroom). The updated model is offered in the Dynamic SE trim, providing customers with a choice between two engine options. For those seeking additional seating capacity, the model is also available with a seven-seater version.
In terms of design and looks, Land Rover has made minimal adjustments to the updated Discovery Sport. These new changes include an all-black mesh front grille with a glossy finish, redesigned LED headlights and taillamps, alongside a fresh set of 19-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside, the SUV provides a floating 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen. Featuring the latest Pivi Pro infotainment system, this setup incorporates easily accessible sidebars, offered as shortcuts to vehicle controls and functions, including media, climate, volume, and navigation. This design enables users to access 90 percent of tasks right from the home screen in a few taps.
Additionally, the new Discovery boasts wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charging, climate control for the third row, 2 USB-C chargers, 3D surround cameras, a ClearSight Rear View Mirror, and ClearSight Ground View offering touch screen-displayed feeds.
The latest Land Rover Discovery Sport comes equipped with a 2.0-litre petrol engine generating 245 bhp of maximum power output with 365 Nm of peak torque alongside a 2.0-litre diesel unit producing 201 bhp and 430 Nm of torque. Both of these powertrains are mated to an automatic gearbox.
New-Gen Toyota Fortuner is expected to debut in India in 2025, possibly in the second quarter.
